Find a journal

  • find a journal in the library catalog - Aleph
  • it is recommended to select “Serials” as the “Base to search”

Locate a journal

  • click on “Jinonice” in the column “Library(no.of items)” in the results list
  • a list of available volumes/issues will be displayed
  • you can see the volume, issue and year of a journal that is available in the library in the column “Description”
  • all periodicals are available only for in house studying, it is not possible to borrow them home
  • recent volumes are available on open shelves in the reading room, older volumes are stored in the library deposit
  • if you see in the catalog that an issue is located in the library deposit, write down the selected issue/volume and ask at the loans desk to have the journal brought to you
  • you can also find daily newspapers in the reading room

Journals we do not subscribe to

  • if you have not found a journal in our library, see if it is not available in an electronic version – either in the Portal of e-journals or in the EZB catalog
  • enter the name of the journal and the system will show you if it is available and in which database
